TRADITIONAL READING ROOMS
RUSH RHEES LIBRARY, UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER

Completed by the University Partners Group, a subsidiary of DeWolff Partnership Architects, work included preservation and restoration of historic building details for the renovation of three major reading rooms of this 1930’s Classical Revival style library including the Messenger Periodicals Reading Room.
Beginning in 1998 and concluding in 1999, design elements in the various reading rooms (approximately 7,000 sq. ft. of total space) included replacement, reconditioning, and upgrading of marble, detailed woodwork, ornamental bronze, stained glass, shelving and appointments.
