SURGICAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
METRO HEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
15,500 square foot relocation of 15-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit to the fifth floor of the Hospital. The project included a CT Scan Room and Satellite Pharmacy that is shared by the other patient units on the upper floors, and staff support spaces (on-call rooms, conference room, and locker rooms).
With separating the Surgical Intensive Care Unit from the Operating Room Suite, a vertical link was created by installing an elevator from the ground floor to the fifth floor. This elevator is large enough to accommodate a critical care transport team with supporting equipment.
