CAPITAL LIVING AND REHABILITATION CENTRES
The Capital Living and Rehabilitation Centres (formerly Hallmark Nursing Centre) in Schenectady, consolidates two previous nursing homes, provides state of the art care and senior living. The result is a 310-bed nursing home, designed to meet the needs of residents and staff in a home-like, household setting. Each unit includes two 20-bed households, which enable residents to interact with each other as well as with staff. DeWolff was one of
the pioneers in the development of this humane design concept which has become the standard in design for Senior Living Facilities across the nation.
The building, which is located in a residential area, was designed to look less institutional in
order to fit into the surrounding neighborhood. The project was completed August 22, 2013.
